    Wednesdays, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Meet at the River Center to see and hear the birds of the Dungeness riparian forest. Information from walks helps us understand the annual cycle of birds in Railroad Bridge Park. All ages and experience levels are welcome to attend.

Raffle proceeds to benefit Toys for Tots and the American Red Cross. Bring a new toy for a free raffle ticket. Santa will be there on Saturday so bring your camera.   8. Duane Niatum Poetry Reading

    November 28, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Red Cedar Hall

    Jamestown S’Klallam Elder Duane Niatum has been has been writing poems, stories and essays for over 50 years. Niatum was honored in October with the Native Writers’ Circle of the American 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award at the 25th Anniversary Returning the Gift Festival in Norman, Oklahoma. Niatum's writing describes and reveres the Northwest coast landscape, for which he credits the lessons he learned from his grandfather, who instilled him with a deep sense of connection to the earth and sea. He has published numerous collections of poetry, including Song for the Harvester of Dreams (1980), which won the Before Columbus Foundation’s American Book Award. His work has been translated into 14 languages. Please call 360 681 4632 for reservations as seating is limited.
